Ionel & Simona Morariu

Ionel and Simona have been part of the ECMI-USA family since 2023. They are launching a new ministry in Romania focused on Christian book publishing, biblical equipping, Christian counseling, and premarital preparation.
They are prayerfully planning each step and have already begun the process of securing legal credentials in Romania. Ionel, who holds a PhD, has easier access to evangelical teachers, pastors, and students—making book publishing and leadership training a strategic ministry. Equipping current and future evangelical leaders remains a crucial need in Romania, enabling them to lead or plant churches more effectively.
In recent years, Ionel has also started offering Christian counseling and is now certified by the Association of Christian Counselors in Romania. He aims to develop this work in a more structured way. Together with Simona, they’ve also begun offering premarital counseling—an often-taboo topic in Romanian evangelical circles—which they hope to normalize and expand.
