Every pilgrim who arrives at Casa Camino Antiguo brings a new opportunity to share the love of Christ. Through simple acts of hospitality, lives are being touched by the gospel on the Camino de Santiago.

Pilgrims continue to arrive at Casa Camino Antiguo on the Camino de Santiago, creating countless opportunities to offer practical care, conversation, and the love of Jesus. The ministry is supported by young people from the local church, whose willingness to serve helps make this hospitality possible.

Recently, a group of 22 pilgrims stayed at the hostel. While preparing breakfast, Karina had the opportunity to talk with a woman named Amy from Atlanta, USA. During their conversation, Amy made the decision to follow Jesus. Karina has remained in contact with her and is helping her connect with a church back home. Please pray that Amy will continue growing in her new faith and walking closely with Christ.

Just days later, another pilgrim arrived under very different circumstances. Luis Romero, an experienced pilgrim from Madrid, became seriously ill after suffering heatstroke and called for help late one evening. The team cared for him at the hostel for two nights until he was well enough to return home.

Luis openly shared that he is an atheist, yet he left deeply moved by the care and compassion he received. While he has not yet come to faith, those serving at the hostel pray that the kindness he experienced will point him to Jesus, the True Way.

These encounters are a reminder that ministry often happens in ordinary moments — around a breakfast table, through a helping hand, or by caring for someone in need. Through the faithful service of a small church and the partnership of supporters around the world, God continues to use Casa Camino Antiguo to shine His light into the lives of people from many nations.

In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
Mathew 5:16
